Join us at a sling meet

Sling meets are a great place to see carriers up close and see what might suit your needs. Our library of slings is available to look at and try out. This gives you the chance to feel the carriers and work out what works for you. Carriers are available to hire for premature/newborn babies through to pre-school children.

Sling Meet locations

There are several places in mid Wales where sling meets are held and this includes:
  • Aberystwyth
  • Borth
  • Barmouth
  • Dolgellau
  • Newtown
Meets are friendly and relaxed with toys for younger children to play with and cake and refreshments for parents and caregivers.

Frequency

Meets are held on a monthly basis and the wide range of carriers that the library holds is available to get to grips with. 

Sling demos

You can have a demonstration of 2-3 carriers where time allows and try one out for yourself with a demo doll or your baby. The sling meets are held in welcoming venues with plenty of safe space and comfortable seating. Facilities are available for bottle warming and breastfeeding.
